Preston Telford WIN World Club Feeder Qualifier

Preston Innovations Telford WIN World Club Feeder Championship Qualifier at Barston Lakes.

This weekend saw the first World Club Feeder Championship qualifier take place at Barston Lakes, in Solihull. Two teams would qualify to fish in Valencia, Spain next year for the first ever World Cub Feeder Champs.

The results were an exciting and thrilling affair, three teams actually tied on points and the qualifying places The five-man team made up of Tommy Pickering, Adam Wakelin, Mick Vials, Will Freeman and Neil McKinnon just pipped Drennan Barnsley Blacks into first place.

However, both teams will go and represent England in the first ever World Club Feeder Championships in Spain next year.  

Preston and England Feeder Team Manager Tommy Pickering took individual honours on the day catching 66lb’s from peg 55. Tommy caught a mixture of F1’s, skimmers and three carp for his weight. Tommy’s massive individual weight helped Preston Telford accumulate 120lb, which easily saw off both Barnsley and Dorking who managed 85lb and 80lb respectively.

Team Results

 1st – Preston Innovations Telford - 17 points (120lb)

2nd – Drennan Barnsley – 17 points (85lb)

3rd – Daiwa Dorking – 17 points (80lb)

We’ll bring you the latest updates from Spain next year, hopefully Preston Innovations Telford can emulate the success of the Preston England Feeder Team and bring home gold for England.
